PC to metal, PMMA to ABS, silicone to plastic — hard-to-bond and dissimilar substrates rarely have an off-the-shelf answer. Gabriel develops the formulation with you, around your substrates, process and equipment.

The questions we will ask you

Because whether it bonds is never only about the adhesive:

  • What is the substrate? If metal — which metal? Any plating, anodising or release agent on the surface?
  • And the other face? PC / ABS / PMMA / PET / silicone / FPC? Any surface treatment?
  • Your equipment? Coating method, maximum oven temperature, line speed, moulding conditions.
  • Which requirements? Brand RSL, halogen-free, UL94 rating, reliability testing.
  • Expected annual volume and production timeline?

We will tell you up front if it cannot be done

A real example: a formulation needs a crosslinking temperature of 150°C, but your oven tops out at 110°C — that route simply will not work. We say so directly, rather than let you waste time on samples.

Where it can be done, we find the most workable route within the limits of the equipment you already have.

Track record: composite film construction

We developed the complete composite film formulation for OMR (Out Mold Release) decoration — from the release film, primer and multiple colour and functional coatings through to the topcoat. The whole stack was our own design.

Projects like this show the depth we work at: we handle the entire material construction, not a single line item.

Gabriel's materials are usually not the cheapest.

But unit price is not the only cost. We look at the processing method, the treatment steps, labour hours and yield as a whole, to make your total cost more efficient — or, at comparable cost, to give you a difference your competitors cannot match.

If all you need is the lowest unit price, the market has plenty of options. If you are solving a problem nobody else can solve — then we should talk.
